The 60% shield from transformation (and the 50% shield from fiery escape) is VERY nice everywhere there is chip damage or dots. The general squishyness of the class makes him binary tho: you are either full life and shielded or dead.It was an OP class where both dealers and supporters were possible, but it was nerfed 4 times in a row. Despite this, it is still very popular in endgame. Lost Ark's endgame is full of death. Therefore, the Gunlancer with the highest survivability (defense + stamina) is a very popular class in the party.Artillerist isn't really that ranged. I play close/mid. Very high stagger and destruction. Need good knowledge of mechanics due to attack delays. But I've played all the classes and I have the most fun playing the Artillerist.
