May 7, 2021 · A 100 Mbps VDSL plan from AT&T runs $50/month, while a 150 Mbps cable internet plan (they don't have a 100 Mbps one) from Xfinity costs $54.99. That's not bad, though cable may have the advantage here as it sometimes delivers speeds that exceed what's advertised, and in general is less susceptible to outages than DSL. XFINITY vs AT&T. Constant drops in storms, frequent days where there is upwards of 50% packet loss, shitty customer support (had to wait 2 weeks for an “advanced” tech to call me about my packet loss and I didn’t even get the call) .
