For VP9 support you must use the experimental branch: $ git clone -b experimental http://git.chromium.org/webm/libvpx.git $ cd libvpx $ ./configure --enable-vp9 --enable-shared $ make && make installFFmpeg doesn't have a stable built-in AAC encoder, so this command will just copy the audio stream in the same format to the output file.
